79: Cardboard stars

Another easy nursery decoration idea. Cardboard stars cut out of cereal boxes (freehand, so they aren't perfect, didn't feel like breaking out the protractor) then painted white. These would be easy to put up on the walls in the nursery. Another we'll see decoration...

78: Sweater to cowl scarf

This was another surprisingly easy but fun clothing upcycle. See if you can follow these directions. 1: Cut under bust of old sweater. 2: Wear!

77: Knob hardware update

This was a little side project involving simply updating the knobs on a dresser we will be using in our nursery. A little change can make a big difference!

76: Peanut butter chocolate pretzel bites

I made these for a party because I didn't have the right pretzel type for the recipe. They were very easy and nobody complains about peanut butter and chocolate!

75: Apple pie bites

Much like entry #74, these bite sized treats were such a hit I've made them twice in the span of a few weeks. Actually, these were so good that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. The pictures in the link are a great representation. These were delish!

74: Mini tacos

I am hooked on bite sized food (and recipes using the mini muffin pan I bought recently). These mini tacos were such a hit at the New Years Eve party I went to, I made them again a few weeks later!

73: Dot wall hanging

I keep liking these paint chip style wall hangings I've seen, though the hubby doesn't like the idea of a chandelier/mobile. I adapted a few ideas to make this cute wall hanging. Also, instead of stealing a ton of paint chips, I bought a scrapbook punch and a few scrapbook sheets in colors I liked and got punching!

72: Dot design nursery wall art

This is another trial at an idea for our nursery wall design. We are using a lot of dots in our nursery theme, so I thought this would be fun to try out. Not perfect, but kind of cute!

71: Crib skirt

This basic crib skirt was super easy and allowed me to bring in a fun pattern to our nursery. One of my favorite parts of the nursery so far in fact!

70: Rocking chair cushion covers

On a nursery decorating kick, I decided to try to cover the beige cushions we found for our rocking chair. I used a basic cover pattern I've used for covering pillows, leaving some openings for the straps to attach to the chair. I then got crafty to try to make the design a little cuter.

69: Ottoman cover

We have a nice rocking chair to build our nursery around but we are anticipating a lot of time in that chair in the future, so we wanted to get something to put our feet up on. I toyed with the idea of making my own ottoman then realized that Target had a basic (storage!) for $17! So I picked a fabric that worked with our colors and went wild with a staple gun. Functional and matching our theme!

68: Animal nursery wall design

I'm doing some brainstorming for wall designs for our pink-and-green nursery. I love this cute bird design and decided to try a spin on it, using the animal profile in scrapbook paper idea I've used before. I'm not totally sold on it yet, but it's a start!

67: Envelope pillow covers

I wanted to cover some pillows to match, with a twist, other pillows I made for our den couches. I came across this link for envelope style pillow covers and thought I'd try it. Even after making it a little more complex by sewing multiple colors, I am now beating myself up for not using this design on past pillows. So easy, and removable!

66: Easy belly band

At 22 weeks pregnant, many of my pants are no longer fitting around the waist. I'm starting to shop for maternity wear, but was also excited to try to stretch my current wardrobe as much as possible. Enter, the belly band! This link has a nice easy-looking sewing option, but I did something even easier. I had an old tank top in a stretchy material that was easy to chop off under the bust and, voila, belly band!

65: Yummy baked ravioli

Was looking for an easy pasta recipe and this one fit the bill (and makes the list of big batch foods to keep in mind for maternity leave). Yum!
